We recognise the importance of sustainability in the food system and understand that even small alterations to procurement, production and recipe development at Nursery Kitchen can positively impact the environment and climate change.
We demonstrate a commitment to sustainability by:

- Choosing seasonal and locally produced vegetables/fruit or using tinned/frozen where possible
- Including beans and pulses in many of our dishes
- Using fish from sustainable sources
- Reduce air freighted goods whenever possible
- Reduce food waste as much as possible for example by distributing excess meals to The Felix Project
- Use recyclable foil trays for our dishes and move forward with our mission to provide fully recyclable packaging (including lids) as soon as possible
- Communicate the importance of recycling (both packaging and food waste) with our nursery partners to ensure they are handling waste responsibly and in line with our company values
